Equipment operator training in Riyadh, KSA – forklift, confined space and LOTO courses by Etihad Pioneers

Equipment operator training gives your workforce the skills to operate, inspect and maintain machinery safely. At Etihad Pioneers Training Academy in Riyadh, every course follows the same proven structure. Delegates first learn the theory in the classroom, then practise on real equipment and finally complete a practical evaluation.

We deliver equipment operator training to companies across Saudi Arabia. Courses run at our Riyadh facility or, alternatively, on-site at your premises in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Jubail.

How Our Equipment Operator Training Works

Each course runs in four stages:

  1. Classroom theory. First, trainers explain the hazards, safety principles and correct procedures, using real incident examples from industrial sites.
  2. Demonstration. Next, the trainer shows each task step by step on the equipment.
  3. Supervised practice. Then delegates repeat each task themselves until they can perform it confidently and correctly.
  4. Practical evaluation. Finally, the trainer observes each delegate completing the tasks safely.

Group sizes are kept small, so every delegate gets enough hands-on time.

Forklift Safety & Operator Training in Riyadh

This course builds safe, confident forklift operators, whether they’re new to the equipment or need refresher training. It also covers the key principles found in international guidance, such as the OSHA powered industrial truck standards.

What delegates learn:

  • How the stability triangle works and, as a result, why forklifts tip over
  • Reading capacity plates and calculating load centres
  • Picking up, carrying, stacking and de-stacking loads
  • Driving safely on ramps, in aisles and especially around pedestrians
  • Carrying out a daily pre-start inspection and then reporting defects
  • Refuelling, battery charging and, finally, safe parking

Practical sessions cover a pre-use inspection, a manoeuvring course and load handling at different heights.

Confined Space Entry & Rescue Training in KSA

This course trains workers to enter, work in and exit confined spaces safely, for example tanks, silos, pits and sewers.

What delegates learn:

  • Identifying confined spaces and their specific hazards
  • Testing the atmosphere with gas monitors before and during entry
  • The responsibilities of the entrant, the attendant and the supervisor
  • Completing and, more importantly, following a permit to work
  • Using breathing apparatus, harnesses and retrieval equipment
  • Responding to an emergency and carrying out a non-entry rescue

Practical sessions include gas monitor checks, a simulated entry with full roles assigned and a retrieval winch rescue drill.

Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) Training in Saudi Arabia

This course teaches maintenance teams how to isolate machinery, so it cannot start up while they work on it.

What delegates learn:

  • Identifying electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and stored energy sources
  • The correct sequence for shutting down and isolating equipment
  • Applying locks, tags and isolation devices
  • Verifying a zero-energy state before work begins
  • Group lockout, shift changes and, in addition, safely removing locks

Practical sessions take delegates through a full lockout on a machine or training rig, from shutdown to verification to restart.

Who Should Attend

Equipment operator training suits a wide range of roles, for example:

  • Forklift and material-handling operators
  • Warehouse, logistics and production staff
  • Maintenance technicians and electricians
  • Supervisors and HSE officers who oversee these tasks

Both new and experienced workers can attend. In fact, experienced operators often join as refresher training to correct bad habits.

Training Delivery Options

  • At our Riyadh facility, which suits individual delegates and small groups
  • On-site at your premises in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam or Jubail, so delegates train on the equipment they use every day
